Maurice Pincoffs’ OEM Division serves as the offshore purchasing arm for a wide variety of small to medium sized manufacturing companies. The group’s role is to assume total responsibility for a manufacturer’s procurement of foreign sourced components, semi- assemblies, and finished goods. Services include sourcing, quality assurance, expediting and the maintenance of just-in-time inventory at Maurice Pincoffs’ dedicated Houston facility. Buying from Pincoffs gives customers the convenience of dealing with a locally based supplier while providing all the advantages typically associated with offshore production.
The company’s OEM activity began with the importation of fasteners, and has expanded in size and scope to include items that originate from almost every form of production. While the Pincoffs service model applies to any type of manufacturing, the OEM team has significant expertise in several industries: exercise equipment, valves, fire-suppression, pressure gauges and flat panel monitor mounting solutions. Today, Maurice Pincoffs sources and distributes a diverse range of components, from metal products such as castings, welded parts, forgings and extrusions, to plastics, electric motors and electronics.
Members of the staff from the Houston office make frequent trips to Asia, and on-the-ground follow up trips and inspections are conducted daily by the Taiwan and China-based staff. Pincoffs' five Southeast Asian offices, together with the company's in-house logistics and customs entry capabilities, allow the company to maintain high quality standards and complete control over every project.
